Co-Founder/Owner

John McDermott, A 4th generation rancher, was born and raised on a ranch in Butte, Mt.  After High School he attended The University of Montana in Missoula in the Finance Program.  After Missoula he traveled the country as a musician and upon failing miserably at becoming a rock star he returned to Butte to run the family ranch. Many lessons were learned the hard way!! He learned land law and zoning law as a member of the local planning board where he spent 10 years. In the early 2000's he started into development and has been involved in several large projects since. He became a licensed Realtor with McLeod Real Estate Group and is with them to this day. In 2003 he was involved in a project called Destination Montana, in 2006 He was involved in a project at Spanish Peaks, In 2012 He built the Fed-Ex ground facility in Butte, and from 2014 until 2022 he was the land portion to a 350 Megawatt solar field.  During the time with the solar field he earned a certificate in Commercial Development from Cornell University. The solar project was rejected by the city and he rezoned some of the property to M-1 industrial. He met Eric Parrish from Mid-West 1938 and they both had similar long term goals so they decided to partner on a project and the Business Park was under way. They both want the Business Park to be a benefit to the community where a better life can be created for everyone involved. 

Marketing Director

With a background in Business Development Primarily in the Fitness Industry, she has owned three training centers and was a Professional Team Trainer.   She still trains people at the McDermott Ranch in Butte, MT

She states that is her passion so she plans on continuing with ongoing varying business projects.   "It is something I believe is my calling...to  help people get mentally and physically stronger" She also believes in leading by example and has earned her IFBB Pro Card.    She has been involved in the launch of several start up businesses and has acquired numerous skills In Web Design and Marketing.  "Anything I can do and stay at the ranch is what I aspire to do"  She traveled with Pro Hockey teams and as a fitness competitor/model for many years and appreciates getting to stay in one place.  "if a company is looking into coming to Montana Mary is available to give insite on the market in Butte, Montana
